Mini Jam #102

Track #1 ("Tech Tap")
Track #2 ("Hell Is Other Machines")
Track #3 ("Robot Bebop")

Play the game: "The Bot That Refused To Die"

This music was written for a 72-hour game jam called Mini Jam #102. The themes of the jam were "steam" and the limitation "death is not the end". Participants were encouraged to interpret those prompts however they wanted. The game made by my team--which we called "The Bot That Refused To Die"--was programmed by evilpixi and drawn to life by artist "sg_lemms".

Why had I never been part of a game jam before? This was so much fun.

A game jam is an event where participants try to make a video game from scratch. There are different formats. Participants might work independently or in teams. The event duration usually ranges from 24 to 72 hours. Participants are generally programmers, game designers, artists, writers, and others in game development-related fields. Some game jams are contests, others are not.

Mini Jam is a game jam for independent game developers which is hosted every other week on itch.io. The jam lasts 72 hours with new themes and limitations each time.
